Yuan Dynasty Coins AD1271 to 1368: Brief History & Highlights.  pp 1C.

The Yuan Dynasty, established by Kublai Khan, was the 1st non Han led dynasty to rule whole of China. Its coinage reflected Mongol adaptations of Chinese monetary system. Yuan Dynasty coins bore Chinese or Mongol scripts, and sometime both Chinese and Mongol scripts. Multi-wen coins (2,3,5,10 wen) were also issued during the Yuan Dynasty which led to inflation due to metal weight debasement. These multi wen coins from the Yuan Dynasty are well sought after by collectors.
