The Yuan Dynasty, established by Kublai Khan, was the 1st non Han led dynasty to rule whole of China. Its coinage reflected Mongol adaptations of Chinese monetary system. Yuan Dynasty coins bore Chinese or Mongol scripts, and sometime both Chinese and Mongol scripts. Multi-wen coins (2,3,5,10 wen) were also issued during the Yuan Dynasty which led to inflation due to metal weight debasement. These multi wen Yuan coins are well sought after by collectors.
